Position Overview

Everspring is looking for an Accounting Manager who will manage the month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Review and summarize customer contracts to ensure revenue recognition is accurate and in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606), and maintain proper documentation to support revenue transactions. Review and approve invoices to ensure accurate billing based on contract terms, services provided, and client agreements. Lead the coordination of external audits, address audit findings, and implement recommended improvements. Furnish external audit process requests by providing necessary documentation and information. Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Evaluate, improve, and document existing accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. Participate in training new team members on accounting policies, systems, and procedures, and provide guidance. Manage and supervise accounting staff, including conducting performance reviews and providing training and mentorship. Collaborate with FP&A team to assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.

This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 5 years related accounting experience. Must be a Certified Public Accountant. Must also have 48 months of demonstrated experience with each of the following: (1) Managing month-end close processes, financial reporting, and budget preparation; (2) Using and implementing accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or equivalent ERP); (3) Working with Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling, and data analysis tools to support complex reporting and decision-making processes; (4) Accounting principles and practices, including deploying knowledge of US GAAP and performing research on technical accounting matters; and (5) Identifying inefficiencies in financial workflows and implementing process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Salary: $105,373 to $115,000/year. Full-time position. Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at Chicago, IL.
