Everspring’s Technology team is comprised of Engineering, Product Development, DevOps, Security and Quality Assurance professionals. The Technology team inspires, engages and empowers each other to create the next generation of educational technologies. This is a collaborative team whose works translate traditional education in innovative and compelling ways to enable our university partners.
The Business Analyst will work on the product team and will collaborate with the business functions and technology teams to innovate and build our educational technology, applications and self-service products. This individual will assist in product management related activities including requirements gathering, writing acceptance criteria, story documentation, product research and support across multiple products and technologies. This position will report to the Vice President of Product Design and Development and is based in Chicago, IL offering a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2 days required in the office weekly.

Responsibilities:
- Manage project, product and development activities to meet timelines and stakeholder expectations.
- Conduct acceptance testing and ensure quality of products, making sure development increments match product requirements and product vision.
- Create, organize and maintain product support materials such as technical specifications, release notes, feature and product training, and or sales and marketing aids.
- Conduct user surveying and testing.
- Capture and document meeting highlights and key takeaways.
- Manage product and technology support inquiries and questions from customers and business functions.
- Develop, document and maintain clear and detailed business requirements
- Keep product backlogs up to date and accurate.
- Coordinate and facilitate software development cycles by clarifying requirements for Developers and QA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop solutions and ensure their alignment with business goals.
- Conduct research and analysis tasks
- Perform other duties, as assigned by product leadership.
Requirements
- Education: BS or BA in Business, IT or related field
Professional Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and quality assurance methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and completing projects, particularly in the technology or educational sectors.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices; PMP certification a plus

Adaptability and Learning Skills:
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn about new products, skills, technologies, and market trends.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and conceptual thinking skills; ability to handle complex data or problems and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ability to perform requirements elicitation and gap analysis from various stakeholders and translate them into functional and operational requirements.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in analytical and project management tools
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies; certification a plus
- Familiarity of Atlassian products a plus
- Basic understanding of coding languages, technologies and data is useful.
